Betung Kerihun National Park
Betung Kerihun National Park is part of the Tentative list of Indonesia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Betung Kerihun National Park comprises a hilly and mountainous area with rich fauna presence that includes the Bornean orangutan. Three out of Borneo's great rivers, the Rejang and Lupar River in Sarawak, Malaysia, and the Kapuas River in Kalimantan, Indonesia, have their origins here. It was proposed together with the Lanjak Entimau Wildlife Sanctuary in Malaysia to form a World Heritage Site named the "Transborder Rainforest Heritage of Borneo", however Lanjak Entimau has been removed of Malaysia’s Tentative List since.
